LED high bay with motion sensor: light only when it is needed
In warehouses, storage areas, dispatch and traffic routes, nobody is there for much of the day. A high bay with a built-in microwave sensor switches on automatically when it detects movement and dims or switches off when it is quiet. No light burns in empty aisles, so you save extra energy on top of the switch to LED. No separate sensor or extra wiring is needed: every fitting controls itself.
Which wattage suits your hall?
All models have 150 lm/W, a Sosen driver, 0-10V dimming, IP65 and IK10, a 120-degree beam angle and a 5-year warranty. You choose between 4000K and 6000K.
How does the microwave sensor work?
The sensor uses radio waves and responds to movement in the detection area below the fitting. As soon as there is movement, the light comes on at full output. When it has been quiet for a while, the high bay dims or switches off. You set the sensitivity, the hold time and the standby dimming level yourself to suit the space.
Sensor, DALI or 0-10V?
A sensor high bay controls itself per fitting, which makes it the simplest way to save energy. If you want to control all fittings centrally or link them to a building management system, choose DALI dimmable lighting. If you only want to dim to a fixed level, a 0-10V dimmer is enough.
High bays with sensor: frequently asked questions
Where does a high bay with motion sensor pay off most?
In spaces that are not in constant use: storage, racking aisles, dispatch, loading docks, car parks and sports halls outside training hours. The more often a space is empty, the bigger the saving.
Can I also dim a high bay with sensor?
Yes. All models are 0-10V dimmable with a suitable 0-10V dimmer. A traditional (phase) dimmer does not work with these high bays. View 0-10V dimmers
What does an LED high bay with sensor replace?
The 100W replaces a 250W mercury vapour or metal halide lamp (HQL/HQI), the 150W and 200W replace 400W and the 240W replaces 400 to 600W. You save up to 70% energy, and even more with the sensor in spaces that are often empty. Calculate your saving
