What 10 meters of LED strip is for

• A ceiling cove around a room of about 2 × 3 meters, or along two long walls of a living room.
• Task light under a long kitchen wall with an island.
• A shop wall, counter or bar.
• A row of cabinets in an office or practice.

What is in a 10m set?

The strip, the connectors to wire it up and a 24V power supply with enough wattage. Exactly what is included is listed with each product. With RGB and CCT sets you control color or color temperature with the included or a separate controller. See also the other LED strip sets.

Which 10m strip do you choose?

• COB Essential, 8 W/m: calm ambient light for ceilings and cabinets.
• COB Advanced, 10 W/m: about 1,000 lumens per meter for task light and shops.
• COB free cut: can be cut anywhere when the size must fit exactly.
• SMD2835, 60 or 120 LEDs per meter: efficient and bright.
• CCT, RGB and RGB+CCT: set color temperature or color. See the RGB LED strips.
• IP65: waterproof sets for bathroom, kitchen and outdoors under a roof.

Even light over 10 meters

At 24V a 10 meter strip fed from one point usually stays even. At higher wattages or if you want to run further, feed power at both ends. Size the power supply with watts per meter × 10 ÷ 0.8: 10 meters at 10 W/m needs at least 125 W. See the LED strip power supplies.

Frequently asked questions about 10m LED strips

Can I use a 10m strip at 12V?

Preferably not from one point: at 12V the end gets visibly dimmer. Choose 24V, or at 12V feed every 5 meters separately.

Can I shorten the set?

Yes, at the cut points. The power supply will then have plenty of headroom.

Can I dim a 10m set?

Yes, with an LED strip controller between the power supply and the strip, also with a remote or app. See the dimmers and controllers.

Longer than 10 meters?

See the 15m and 20m sets, or the 230V LED strips up to 50 meters on a single plug.
