What 20 meters of LED strip is for

• A ceiling cove around a large living room or open-plan kitchen, about 4 × 6 meters.
• Shops, showrooms and hospitality with long walls or bars.
• Facades, roof edges and canopies with a 230V LED strip.

24V set or 230V strip?

• 24V set for indoors: fine to cut, safe to touch and dimmable with a controller. In COB Essential (8 W/m), COB Advanced (10 W/m) and SMD2835, also as a waterproof IP65 set. See the 24V LED strips.
• 230V strip for long runs and outdoors: no power supply, up to 50 meters on a single plug, IP65, cuttable per meter. For example the 20 meter Ultra 230V strip.

Even light over 20 meters

At 24V you usually feed power every 10 meters. So spread a 20 meter run over two feed points, for example in the middle and at the end, or use two power supplies. Calculate watts per meter × 20 ÷ 0.8: 20 meters at 8 W/m needs at least 200 W. See the LED strip power supplies and the connectors.

Frequently asked questions about 20m LED strips

Can 20 meters run on one power supply?

Yes, if the power supply is powerful enough. Do feed the strip at two points so the end does not get dimmer.

Which strip for a long facade?

A 230V strip: no power supplies, up to 50 meters on a single plug and waterproof with IP65. See the outdoor LED strips.
