20m LED strip for affordable indirect lighting

Not every 20m light line needs to be at maximum brightness. This 20m SMD2835 LED strip set creates a long ambient accent with relatively modest power requirements. Its 60 LEDs per metre are particularly suitable for indirect mounting.

Powering 20m of SMD from the centre

The 230 V power supply is permanently wired through screw terminals and has no plug; consult an installer if unsure. Place the supply at the centre of the light line and feed two connected strips in each direction. This keeps brightness even along the full length.

Indirect lighting in spacious, dry rooms

Follow a long ceiling edge in an open-plan living area, illuminate the tops of office shelves or add an indirect accent to a long, dry corridor. Individual LED dots are visible when viewed directly.

How does COB compare with SMD over 20m?

This SMD version offers a lower-cost way to install 20 m of light and gives approximately 480 lumens per metre. The COB Essential set provides an even line without visible LED dots and approximately 800 lumens per metre.

Choose the white tone for a long light line

• 2400K Extra warm white: an extra warm accent near a sideboard.
• 3000K Warm white: warm white beside kitchen cabinets.
• 4000K Neutral white: neutral white for a worktable.
• 6000K Cool white: cool white in a dry garage.

Adjust brightness on long accent runs

The long SMD light line can be dimmed with a separate Mi-Light single-colour LED strip controller installed after the power supply and operated with a Mi-Light 4-zone remote control. A standard 230 V wall dimmer is unsuitable.
